PRESS RELEASE

LaGrange, New York – On February 26, 2015, New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from the Wappinger barracks arrested Jared T. Dean, age 18, of the Bronx, New York, for Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd Degree and Grand Larceny 4th Degree.

An investigation revealed that Dean had cashed several counterfeit checks at the Tompkins Mahopac Bank branches located on Route 55 in the Town of LaGrange and also at the Route 82 branch located in the Town of East Fishkill.

Dean stole approximately $3,293 from the two bank by cashing the bogus checks.

Dean was arraigned at the Town of East Fishkill Court, where Judge McAliney remanded him to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond.

His next court appearance is scheduled for March 3, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. in the Town of LaGrange Court.
