Gaetana “Tina” Botterio, 95, of Danbury, mother of Louise P. McMahon died on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Danbury Hospital.
She was the wife of the late Eugene “John” Botterio.

Mrs. Botterio was born in Bridgeport, CT, January 17, 1921, daughter of Guiseppe “Joseph” and Petronilla (Saetta) D’Allura.

Raised in Pleasantville, NY, she attended Pleasantville schools and was a mail sorter with the United State Postal Service at the Pleasantville office and later at Readers Digest.
A former resident of Dover Plains, NY, Mrs. Botterio has been a resident of Danbury for the past sixteen years.
Mrs. Botterio was a former member of Holy Innocent Church of Pleasantville and a member of its church choir.
She was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary of Pleasantville.
In addition to her daughter Louise P. McMahon and her husband, Donald of Danbury, she is survived by a grandson Peter and his wife Ada and great grandson, Connor.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Botterio was predeceased by two brothers, Thomas D’Allura and Frank D’Allura.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph R.C. Church, Danbury with Fr. David W. Franklin, parochial vicar, officiating. Interment will follow in All Souls Cemetery, Pleasantville, NY. There will be no calling hours. Contributions in Mrs. Botterio’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital , Memphis, TN.
