Obituary, Anthony J. DeBonis

 

Millbrook – Anthony J. DeBonis, 91, a lifelong resident of Millbrook, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, June 24, 2016.

Born in Millbrook on February 9, 1925, he was the son of the late Albert and Rose Sarvochia DeBonis Anthony served his country with the US Army, 340th Bombardment Squadron during WW-II from 1943-1945.

He was a longtime member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union Local #21, joining in 1964.

Anthony is survived by numerous nieces and nephews as well as honorary family members, Linda and Gary Wilber. He was predeceased by his son, Anthony John DeBonis; his sister Concetta Massarone; his 2 brothers, Louis DeBonis and Albert DeBonis; and his companion, Ernestine Sheldon.

There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday, June 29 at 10 am from St. Joseph’s Church, North Ave. Millbrook. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Millbrook with military honors.
