Kingston woman arrested for Forgery and Grand Larceny

PRESS RELEASE

On June 6, 2016 the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation – Kingston Barracks arrested HEATHER M. VANETTEN age 32 of Kingston, NY for the felonies of Grand Larceny 3rd and three counts of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd Degree.

In May the New York State Police commenced an investigation into forged checks being written and deposited into a bank account at a bak in the City of Kingston. The investigation revealed that on three seperate dates in the month of February VANETTEN deposited forged checks into her personal bank account totaling $7,551.00.  VANETTEN knew the victim personally and had access to their home.

VANETTEN was arraigned in the City of Kingston Court and released to Ulster County Pre-Trial supervision.
