City of Poughkeepsie man arrested for felony narcotics possession

PRESS RELEASE

06/07/16 – The New York State Police, Highland BCI announce the arrest of 43 year old Kelly Robinson, of Poughkeepsie, New York, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree (a class C felony).

On 06/07/16, patrols from the New York State Police at Highland encountered Robinson and a female acquaintance of his while on State Route 44/55 in the Town of Lloyd. The female acquaintance of Robinson flagged down a uniformed patrol member and advised that she was amid a domestic dispute with Robinson in the vehicle they were occupying. A roadside investigation led to discovery that Robinson in possession of a quantity of crack/cocaine which was found upon his person. Robinson was ultimately arrested and processed at SP Highland on 1 count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree.

Robinson was arraigned before Judge Maciocia in the Town of Plattekill Court and subsequently remanded to Ulster County Jail on $500 bail.  Robinson is set to return to Lloyd Town Court on 06/09/16 at 3pm.
