Murder/Suicide in the Town of Wallkill

The New York State Police, with the assistance of the Town of Wallkill Police Department, are investigating a murder/suicide that occurred on Fifth Avenue in the Town of Wallkill.
On 05/26/16 at approximately 5:25 PM, Members of the New York State Police and the Town of Wallkill Police Department responded to a 911 poll for an unresponsive male at 559 Fifth Avenue. Police located John Casullo, age 48, deceased inside his residence from a single gunshot wound to the head. Also found deceased inside the home were James Casullo, age 8, and Kathleen Casullo, age 12. James and Kathleen were the children of John Casullo and each suffered a single gunshot wound to the head. The investigation revealed John Casullo used a .45 cal pistol to murder each of his children while they slept in their bedrooms then turned the weapon on himself. No other persons were at the residence at the time of the incident.
