Investigation leads to the arrest of two men who burglarized a Town of Esopus residence

05/26/16 – The New York State Police SP Highland BCI announce the arrest of 21 year old Nicholas J. Sisco of Wallkill, NY, and 22 year old Christopher J. Howe, of New Windsor, NY, for Burglary in the 2nd degree (a class C felony).

The New York State Police – Highland BCI received a report of a burglary to a residence in the Town of Esopus back in January of 2016 in which numerous firearms were reported stolen. A several month long investigation led Investigators to Nicholas J. Sisco who was determined to be involved. Additionally, Christopher J. Howe who also determined to have participated in the burglary and theft of firearms from within the residence.  A search warrant was conducted on Christopher Howe’s residence and personal vehicle, both of which were located in the Town of New Windsor, NY.  In total, investigative efforts led to the recovery of four of the five firearms that were reported stolen.  Both subjects were arrested and processed at SP Highland on 1 count of Burglary in the 2nd degree. The investigation remains ongoing.  

Both subjects were arraigned before Judge Grieco. Sisco was released on his own recognizance and Howe was remanded to Ulster County Jail on $5,000 cash/ $10,000 bond. Both subjects are due to return to the Town of Esopus Court on 05/31/16 at 5pm.
