Kinderhook, New York – On May 25, 2016, New York State Police from the Livingston barracks arrested 28-year-old David A. King, of Albany, New York, for Identity Theft in the 1st Degree, a Class D Felony.

In March of 2016, Troopers were contacted by a Columbia County woman who reported that someone opened a bank account utilizing her identity.  A subsequent investigation revealed that King had used the victim’s personal information to open a fraudulent bank account on-line.

King was arraigned before the Town of Kinderhook Court and remanded to the Columbia County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $15,000 bond.  He is due to reappear in Kinderhook Court at a later date and time.
