Obituary, Frank D. Savoy

 

Frank D. Savoy, 67, a lifelong resident of Dover Plains, died on Friday, May 13, 2016 at Sharon Health Care Center in Sharon, CT.  Frank was a farmer on the Franklin Benson farm in Dover Plains, NY and later worked at J & J Log and Lumber and Westchester Modular Homes in Wingdale.

Born on September 10, 1948 in Sharon, CT, he was the son of the late James and Clara (Smith) Savoy.  Frank is survived by his daughter, Heidi Barnetta and her husband, Mark, of Shady Brook, WV; a sister, Judy Savoy of Amenia, NY; three grandchildren, Kayla Sitter and Robert and Hunter Barnetta and two great grandchildren, Maddison and Micah.  Besides his parents, he was predeceased by four sisters, Clara Denny, Luella Savoy, Gertrude Howard and Ethel Hoose and seven brothers, Ernest, Harrison, Lewis, James, Stanley, John and Ralph Savoy.  He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
