Searsmont, Maine – Frederick D. Davis formerly of Dover Plains – 90, passed away Dec 2, 2015. Born May 8, 1925, son of Dwight L. Davis and Hulda A. Davis of Dover Plains, New York. Following high school Frederick enlisted in the United States Army Air Corps, after serving as a flight engineer on B-29s he received an honorable discharge from United States Army Air Corps. He returned home to the family farm. His love of farming took him through years of dairy, beef, cattle, hogs, and much custom machine farming for other farmers. Frederick was predeceased by his parents, Dwight and Hulda Davis of Dover Plains, New York. Surviving are his loving wife of 58 years, June (Collyer) Davis, and two sons, Timothy and Robert of Searsmont, Maine. He will be dearly missed by many. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2016, at 1 pm in Nine Partners Cemetery in Millbrook, New York. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice .
