LaGrange man arrested following physical dispute

PRESS RELEASE

LaGrange, New York – On May 10, 2016, New York State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks arrested Alfrederick Morrison Jr., 53 years old, of LaGrange, New York, for Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree, a Class D Felony, Menacing 2nd Degree and Criminal Obstruction of Breathing, both Class A Misdemeanors.

Troopers were dispatched by Dutchess County 911 to a McDonnell Road residence for a disturbance.  Subsequent to a verbal dispute, Morrison choked the victim and menaced her with a dumbbell.

Morrison was arraigned before Town Justice Stephen O’Hare in the Town of LaGrange Justice Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail on $15,000 cash bail.  He is scheduled to return to the Town of LaGrange Court on May 13, 2016.
