PRESS RELEASE

     On April 16th, 2016, the New York State Police at Ellenville announce the arrest of a female who is a fugitive from justice in several states in the Village of Ellenville N.Y.
Arrested was Amanda A. Conklin, age 30, of Ellenville, New York who was charged with being a fugitive from the states of Virginia and Pennsylvania as well as Falsifying Business Records in the First Degree, Criminal Impersonation in the Second Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree and Prescription Medication outside of the Original Container.
The New York State Police conducted a traffic stop in the Village of Ellenville during the evening of April 13th, 2016. Amanda A. Conklin, who also goes by the name of Amanda A. Stockton, was found in possession of oxycodone pills and arrested. At the time of arrest she provided the name of a family member to conceal her true identity. She was released from custody on an appearance ticket and it was later learned that she had used an assumed name. Conklin was located and arrested for providing a false name. She is also wanted in the states of Virginia and Pennsylvania for theft and welfare fraud.
Amanda A. Conklin was arraigned in the Village of Ellenville Court before Town Justice Harvey Levine and was remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of no bail.  She will return in the Village of Ellenville Court on April 19, 2016 at 4:30pm.
