Cortlandt, New York – On April 4, 2016, New York State Police from the Cortlandt barracks arrested Daniel V. Piamonte, 60 years old, of Buchanan, New York, for Criminal Contempt in the 1st Degree, a Class E Felony.

On February 21, 2016, Troopers were dispatched by Westchester County 911 to investigate a domestic disturbance that occurred at a Cortlandt home.  The defendant, Piamonte, fled the residence prior to police arriving on scene.  An investigation revealed that Piamonte violated an active court order of protection by having contact with the protected party.

Piamonte was located on April 4, 2016 in the Town of Cortlandt Court where he appeared for unrelated criminal charges.  He was subsequent arraigned and released on his own recognizance.  Piamonte is scheduled to appear before the Town of Cortlandt Court at a later date and time.
