Traffic Stop in Orange County Leads to Drug Charges for Four Men

PRESS RELEASE

On March 25, 2016 the New York State Police in Monroe arrested four men following a vehicle and traffic stop on State Route 17 in the Town of Monroe.  William Reyes, age 39, Richie Reyes, age 20 both from Bronx, NY, and Alexander Mancello, age 19, Trevor J. Tompkins, age 19, both from Monticello NY were arrested for Criminal Possession of Control Substance in the Third Degree, Criminal Possession of Control Substance in the Fourth Degree, and Control Substance in Non Original Container.

William Reyes was additionally charged for Possession of Forged Instrument in the Second Degree, Criminal Possession of Control Substance in the Seventh Degree, Possession of Hypodermic Instrument, Identity Theft in the Third Degree, Criminal Impersonation in the Second Degree, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operator in the 2nd.  Reyes was found to possess a forged credit card which the account number on the card was reported stolen.  Reyes did pass a false name to the State Police and was found to be in possession of a hypodermic needle that was loaded with heroin at the time.

William Reyes was arraigned in the Town of Monroe Justice Court and was remanded to Orange County Jail with no bail or bond.  He is to appear on March 31, 2016 in the Town of Monroe Court.

Alexander Mancello was additionally charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.  Richie Reyes, Trevor J. Tompkins, and Alexander Mancello were arraigned in the Town of Monroe Justice Court and were remanded to Orange County Jail in lieu of $15,000 cash bail and $30,000 bond.  They will appear on March 31, 2016 in the Town of Monroe Court.
