Putnam County Sheriff Donald B. Smith reports the arrest of a Bronx woman on a charge of Petit Larceny.

On March 9, 2016 at 11:05 a.m., Deputy Sheriff Thomas Des Jardins responded to a report of a shoplifter in custody at the Home Depot located at 80 Independent Way in the Town of Southeast. The asset protection manager had observed a woman conceal items of merchandise and then leave the store without paying for them. The woman was identified as Suzanna M. Love, 38, of 55 East 196th Street, Bronx, New York. The deputy arrested Ms. Love and charged her with Petit Larceny, a misdemeanor. The defendant was processed by Town of Kent Justice Kevin Douchkoff and committed to the Putnam County Correctional Facility in lieu of $200.00 cash bail or $500.00 bond pending a future appearance in the Town of Southeast Justice Court to answer the charge.

If found guilty of the misdemeanor charge, the defendant could face up to a year in jail and a fine of up to $1,000.00.
