Obituary, Gwyneth Daniels Berkeley

 

Gwyneth Daniels Berkeley passed away quietly surrounded by her family on March 14, 2016 at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, CT.  Born September 23, 1936 in Pawling, NY to Gwendolyn Thomas Daniels and Charles Ross Daniels, she spent her life growing up and raising her family in Pawling.  Except for a few short periods, Pawling was her home and the place she loved most.  On November 23, 1957, Gwyneth was married to William Taylor Berkeley at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Pawling.  Together they made their home and enjoyed many years of marriage, parenthood, and wonderful times with each other, their family, and friends.

Survived by her children, Stephen and Nancy Berkeley of Walpole, MA; Gwennda and Gordon MacKenzie of Millbrook NY; Lloyd Berkeley of Pawling, NY; and Laura and Jon Olsen of Pawling, NY.  Gwyneth is also survived by her grandchildren, Cora and Catherine MacKenzie, and Margaret and Thomas Berkeley.  In addition to her children and grandchildren, Gwyneth is also survived by her dear brother, C. Ross Daniels, Jr. and his wife Fayne, along with cousins, George Coulter, John Daniels, and Mary Jones.

Gwyneth was predeceased by her husband, William Taylor Berkeley, and brother, Lloyd Thomas Daniels.

A Memorial Service will be held on April 23, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, Pawling, NY followed by a reception at the family home. A private burial will be at Quaker Hill Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made in Gwyneth’s memory to Pawling Free Library or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
