Connecticut man arrested following sex abuse investigation in Dover

Dover Plains, New York – On March 1, 2016, the New York State Police arrested 26-year-old Bruce A. Pierce, Jr. of New Britain, Connecticut, for Criminal Sexual Act 2nd Degree, a Class D Felony, Forcible Touching, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, both Class A Misdemeanors. Pierce was additionally charged with Sexual Abuse in the 3rd Degree, a Class B Misdemeanor.
Peirce’s arrest stems from an investigation into sexual contact that he had with a 14-year- old child in the Town of Dover.
Pierce was arraigned in the Town of Dover Court before Hon. R. Wren Abrams and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $150,000 cash or $150,000 bond.
