Bloomingburg man arrested for illegal sexual act.

The New York State Police at Wurtsboro announce the arrest of Michael V. Moeller, age 22, of Bloomingburg NY for Criminal Sexual Act 2nd, a felony and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a misdemeanor.
This arrest is the result of an investigation by the State Police BCI at SP Wurtsboro wherein a female child, less than 17 years of age, reported that an older male had engaged her in a sexual act. The victim was incapable of consent. The act was reported to have taken place approximately five years ago in Burlingham New York.
Moeller was arraigned before Town of Mamakating Town Justice Joel Walsh who committed Moeller to the custody of the Sullivan County Jail on no bail. Moeller is scheduled to return to the Town of Mamakating Town Court on January 29th at 10:00 am.
