Three Ulster County men arrested following Dover Olivet Center burglary

Dover, New York – On January 26, 2016, New York State Police from the Dover Plains barracks charged 45-year-old Daniel T. Yochum, of Kerhonkson, New York, Luis E. Rodriguez Jr., 33 years old, of Kerhonkson, and Yoshua Pinto, age 28, of Ellenville, New York, with Burglary 3rd Degree, a Class D Felony.

At approximately 12:02 p.m. on January 26th, Troopers patrolled to the Olivet Center, formerly the Harlem Valley Psychiatric Center, to check the building’s security.  Upon inspecting the power plant area, Troopers observed a vehicle containing three occupants at the southwestern corner of the structure.

Following an investigation, it was discovered that Yochum, Rodriguez, and Pinto had unlawfully entered the building and removed copper wire.

The State Police were assisted by the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office.

All three defendants were arraigned before the Town of Dover Judge Abrams and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail.

Yochum was remanded in lieu of $20,000 cash bail or $40,000 bond, Rodriguez was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond, and Pinto was remanded in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $15,000 bond.  They are scheduled to appear in the Town of Dover Court on January 29, 2016.
