Wappinger woman arrested for assault following domestic incident

Wappinger, New York – On January 22, 2016, New York State Police from the Wappinger barracks arrested 20-year-old Maquesha L. Patterson of Wappinger, New York, for Assault in the 2nd Degree, a Class D Felony, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 4th Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor.
Troopers were dispatched by Dutchess County 911 to a domestic disturbance that occurred in the Town of Wappinger. An investigation revealed that Patterson stabbed the victim in the arm with a kitchen knife following a physical dispute.
The victim was transported to Saint Luke’s Hospital by TransCare Ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.
Patterson was arraigned before the Town of Wappinger Justice Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 security bond. Patterson is scheduled to reappear in the Town of Wappinger Court on
January 26, 2016 at 5:30 p.m.
