Amenia man arrested for burglary following domestic disturbance

Amenia, New York – On January 23, 2016, New York State Police from the Dover Plains barracks arrested Jerson Digirolamo, 23 years old, of Amenia, New York, for Burglary in the 2nd Degree, a Class C Felony, and Criminal Contempt in the 1st Degree, a Class E Felony.

On January 18, 2016, Troopers were dispatched by Dutchess County 911 to investigate a domestic disturbance.  An investigation revealed that Digirolamo unlawfully entered the victim’s home through a window, violating a valid court order of protection.  Digirolamo fled the residence prior to police arriving on scene.

On January 23, 2016, Digirolamo was located and placed in custody.  He was arraigned before the Town of Amenia Justice Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail without bail.  He is due to return to the Amenia Court on January 25, 2016.
