Connecticut Man Charged With DWI

 Putnam County Sheriff Donald B. Smith reports the arrest of a Connecticut man on a DWI charge.

On January 10, 2016 at 2:55 a.m., Deputy Sheriff Kevin Radovich stopped a motorist who had committed a traffic violation on Route 22 in the Town of Southeast. The deputy determined that the driver, identified as Brendan R. Tyrell, 27, of 7 Sil Cam Drive, Danbury, Connecticut was intoxicated. The deputy arrested Mr. Tyrell and charged him with Driving While Intoxicated, a misdemeanor. The defendant was processed at the Putnam County Correctional Facility and held pending arraignment.

If found guilty of the misdemeanor charge, the defendant could face up to a year in jail and a fine of up to $1,000.00.
