Bronxville man charged with felony DWI following crash investigation

Greenburgh, New York – On December 28, 2015, the New York State Police in Hawthorne arrested Andrew S. Martin, age 29, of Bronxville, New York, for Driving While Intoxicated, a Class D Felony, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 1st Degree, a Class E Felony.

Troopers were dispatched to investigate a one-car auto collision that occurred on the Sprain Brook Parkway.  The driver of the vehicle, Martin, was found to be intoxicated at the time of the crash.

Martin was charged with Felony DWI when a criminal history revealed two previous DWI related convictions within the preceding 10 years. He was also charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 1st Degree when officers discovered that his driving privilege were revoked due to previous DWI arrests.

Martin was arraigned before the Town of Greenburgh Justice Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond.  He is due to return to the Greenburgh Court on January 5, 2016.
