LaGrange man charged with drug possession and resisting arrest following traffic stop

PRESS RELEASE

Pleasant Valley, New York – On December 26, 2015, New York State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks arrested 21-year-old Conor B. Scahill, of LaGrange, New York, for Criminal Possession of Marihuana 4th Degree, and Resisting Arrest, both Class A Misdemeanors.

Troopers stopped Scahill at the intersection of Plass Road and South Avenue for speeding.  Scahill was found to possess approximately 224 grams of marihuana at the time of the stop.  While the arresting officer attempted to place Scahill in custody, he actively resisted arrest.

Scahill was issued appearance tickets directing him to appear before the Town of Pleasant Valley Court on December 29, 2015 at 5:00 p.m.
