State Police encourage residents to lock their vehicles following rash of car larcenies in Putnam and Westchester Counties

PRESS RELEASE
The New York State Police from the Brewster barracks, Somers barracks and the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department would like to report and increase in stolen vehicles and valuables stolen from vehicles.
These crimes are occurring in residential neighborhoods and are facilitated by residents who leave their car keys and valuables unsecured within their cars.
The reporting Police agencies would like to advise residents to lock their cars and not store valuable property within their cars.
