Poughkeepsie woman arrested for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance

PRESS RELEASE

The New York State Police – Highland BCI announce the arrest of 32 year old, Samantha Vantassell, of Poughkeepsie, NY for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree (a class C felony).

On 12/07/15, New York State Police patrols conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle operated by Samantha Vantassel, while on State Route 9W in the Town of Lloyd for excessive window tint. A roadside investigation found that Vantassell unlawfully possessed a quantity of oxycodone, a controlled substance. Vantassell was arrested and processed at SP Highland.

Vantassell was arraigned before Judge Murphy in the Town of Plattekill Court and was subsequently remanded to Ulster County Jail on $1,000 cash / $2,000 bond. Vantassell is set to re-appear in the Town of Lloyd Court on 12/10/15 at 4:30pm.
