Bronxville man arrested for Felony DWI subsequent to welfare check

PRESS RELEASE

Philipstown, New York – On November 28, 2015, New York State Police from the Wappinger barracks arrested Christopher J. Kovi, 50 years old, of Bronxville, New York, for Driving While Intoxicated, a Class E Felony.

Troopers observed a vehicle stopped on Route 9 in the area of Route 301 and stopped to conduct a welfare check on the driver.  The driver of the vehicle, Kovi, was found to be intoxicated.

Kovi was charged with Felony DWI when an investigation revealed that he was convicted of  DWI in 2009.

Kovi was issued an appearance ticket directing him to appear before the Town of Philipstown Court on December 7, 2015.
