Acra man arrested for sexually assaulting a child

PRESS RELEASE

On 11/23/15, New York State Police at Catskill arrested JEREMIAH WEISINGER, age 36, of Acra, N.Y. for Rape in the 1st degree(a class B Felony).  WEISINGER is alleged to have engaged in forcible sexual intercourse with a 15 year old female at a private residence in the Town of Cairo. Following his arrest, WEISINGER was arraigned before Town Justice Lee Miller in the Town of Cairo Court. WEISINGER was remanded to the Greene County Jail in lieu of  $100,000.00 cash bail or $200,000.00 bond.
