Claverack, New York – On November 6, 2015, New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from the Livingston barracks charged Amanda S. Shook, 34 years old, of Philmont, New York, with Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a Class A Misdemeanor.

In August of 2015, the New York State Police and Columbia County Child Protective Services began an investigation relative to an anonymous law enforcement referral involving the welfare of a child.

Subsequent to the investigation, it was determined that between August of 2014 and October of 2015, Shook failed to intervene and/or take preventative actions, creating an environment likely to be injurious to the physical, mental or moral welfare of the child.

Shook was issued an appearance ticket directing her to appear before the Town of Claverack Court on November 10, 2015.
