Wassaic – Dolores S. Butts, 73, a longtime resident of Wassaic, NY, most recently of Canaan, CT, died Friday, November 6, 2015 at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, CT. Mrs. Butts worked for twenty seven years as a floor supervisor for Dutchess County ARC in Amenia, NY before her retirement in 2009.
Born October 23, 1942 in Sharon, CT, she was the daughter of the late William and Helen (Whaley) Clark.
Dolores is survived by her daughter, Lisa Hurn of Wassaic and her son James G. Butts, Jr., of Amenia; a sister, Virginia Thompson of Wappinger Falls; four grandchildren, Alan and Kyle Randolph and Megan and Sarah Butts and three great grandchildren, Amaya, Natasha and Alan Randolph, Jr.
There are no calling hours. A celebration of life will take place on Thursday, November 12, 2015 from 4-7pm at the V.F.W Post # 5444, 3422 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Lisa Hurn, 214 Old Route 22, Wassaic, NY 12592.
