Kent Man Seriously Injured in Patterson Accident

Putnam County Sheriff Donald B. Smith reports that a Town of Kent man was seriously injured yesterday in a motor vehicle accident in the Town of Patterson.

On November 3, 2015 at approximately 3:35 p.m., Deputy Sheriff Matthew Tunney responded to a 911 report of a serious personal injury auto accident involving a motorcycle on Route 22 near the intersection of Ballyhack Road in the Town of Patterson. Upon arrival and subsequent investigation, the deputy determined that a motorcycle driven by Anthony Massimo, aged 31, of 23 Briarcliff Road, Kent had been travelling south on Route 22 and had collided with a Suzuki SUV which was travelling north and making a left turn onto Old Road. Upon impact, Mr. Massimo and the motorcycle went airborne and the motorcycle struck a third vehicle.

Mr. Massimo was treated at the scene by personnel from the Patterson and Putnam Lake Fire Departments along with personnel from Transcare EMS. Mr. Massimo was subsequently transported by Stat Flight helicopter to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla where he was listed in critical but stable condition.

The driver of the SUV, identified as Eric Single, aged 46, of 90 Old Road, Patterson; and the driver of the third vehicle, identified as Sarah Barab, aged 42, of 1225 Park Avenue, New York, New York were reported to be uninjured.
