Pleasant Valley man arrested following homicide investigation

PRESS RELEASE
Pleasant Valley, New York – On October 23, 2015, New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from Troop K Headquarters arrested Charles R. Cole, 48 years old, of Pleasant Valley, New York, for Murder 2nd Degree, a Class A-I Felony, in connection with the strangulation death of his mother whose remains were subsequently transported and discarded in South Carolina.
There will be a press conference held at Troop K Headquarters, 2541 Route 44, Salt Point, on October 24, 2015, at 11:00 a.m.
Charles Cole was arraigned in the Town of Pleasant Valley Justice Court before the Honorable David Sears T/J and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail without bail.
