Obituary, David J. Curtin

 

STORMVILLE – David J. Curtin, 79, a 50-year area resident, died on October 19, 2015 at home.

Born in the Bronx, he was the son of the late David and Marie (Anunziotto) Curtin. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Dave enjoyed the outdoors. He will be remembered for his skill as a hunter as well as his passion for animals.

On March 8, 2000, he married Holly Smith Curtin who survives at home. He is also survived by his children, David J. Curtin and his wife Kathy of Beacon, Stephen Curtin of Hopewell Junction, Bonnie Catalano of Poughkeepsie, Thomas Curtin and his wife Yvonne of Highland, and Christopher Curtin and his wife Elaine of Beacon; his 9 grandchildren; his siblings, Barbara Gloor of Long Island, Robert Curtin of FL, and Richard Curtin of Putnam County; and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 9-11 am at 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The funeral service will be at 11 am at the funeral home followed by interment at Evergreen Cemetery in Pine Plains with military honors.
