Kent, New York – On October 20, 2015, New York State Police from the Stormville barracks arrested Lorena R. Cole, 46 years old, of Brewster, New York, for Driving While Intoxicated, a Misdemeanor.

Troopers were notified by a passing motorist that there had been a one-car collision on the Taconic State Parkway in the area of mile post marker 34.3 northbound.  Officers arrived on scene and located an unoccupied vehicle in the lane of travel with heavy damage.  Several minutes later, a female emerged from a wooded area claiming that she had been involved in the crash.  Troopers conducted an investigation at the scene and discovered that the woman was intoxicated.

Cole was arraigned before the Town of Kent Court and released on her own recognizance.  She is due to reappear in Kent Court on November 17, 2015.
