Wappinger man charged with drug possession following welfare check

Wappinger, New York – On October 16, 2015, New York State Police from the Wappinger barracks arrested Jordan Leach, 21 years old, of Wappinger, New York, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7^th Degree, Possession of a Hypodermic Instrument and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana.

Troopers conducted a welfare check on Leach after observing his vehicle stopped on the shoulder of Old Post Road in the Town of Wappinger.  An investigation conducted by the arresting officer revealed that Leach possessed heroin, marihuana, and a hypodermic needle.

Leach was issued appearance tickets directing him to appear before the Town of Wappinger Court on October 27, 2015 at 5:30 p.m.
