Pine Plains man charged with Rape

Pine Plains, New York – On October 19, 2015, New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from the Wappinger barracks charged 27-years-old Pedro T. Cruz Garcia, of Pine Plains, New York, with Rape 3rd Degree, a Class E Felony.
On October 19, 2015, the Dutchess County Child Advocacy Center, Child Protective Services, and State Police Investigators were assigned to investigate a reported sexual abuse allegation.
Subsequent to an investigation conducted by the State Police, it was discovered that Cruz Garcia had sexual relations with an underage female victim.
Cruz Garcia was arraigned before Town of Pine Plains Court where he was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond. He is due to appear in the Town of Pine Plains Court on October 22, 2015 at 6:00 p.m.
