Mohegan Lake man charged with Driving While Intoxicated following traffic stop

Cortlandt, New York – On October 17, 2015, New York State Police from the Cortlandt barracks arrested 28-year-old Sammy H. Saloot, of Mohegan Lake, New York, for Driving While Intoxicated and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, both misdemeanors.

Saloot was stopped on Red Mill Road in the Town of Cortlandt for an equipment violation.   Following an investigation conducted by the arresting officer, Saloot was found to be intoxicated and in possessed cocaine.

Saloot supplied a breath sample that revealed a Blood Alcohol Content of .08% and was issued appearance tickets ordering him to appear before the Town of Cortlandt Court on October 23, 2015.
