Shandaken Man Arrested for Criminal Possession of a Weapon

PRESS RELEASE

In the early morning hours of October 8, 2015 the New York State Police at Kingston responded to the report of a one car roll over car accident on State Route 28 in the Town of Olive. Investigation at the scene determined that the vehicle had been operated by Robert E Beck, 52 years old, of Big Indian, New York.

Subsequent to an investigation at the scene, Beck was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree, both Felonies and 2 counts of Possession of a Large Capacity Magazine. An unregistered handgun was recovered by State Police.

Robert E Beck was arraigned before the Town of Hurley Justice Court and remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or a $125,000 bond.
