State Police close Pine Ridge Drive in the Town of Wappinger – occupant of the residence refused entry and barricaded himself in armed with a handgun

On October 8, 2015 at approximately 8:00 AM the New York State Police in Wappinger responded to Pine Ridge Drive in the Town of Wappinger to assist the United States Social Security Administration Office of the Inspector General with the execution of a warrant.
The occupant of the residence refused entry and barricaded himself armed with a handgun. Multiple State Police units and Dutchess County Sheriff’s Department personnel responded to, and are presently on the scene with their tactical units and crisis negotiators.
Negotiations are ongoing at this time. Pine Ridge Drive has been, and will be closed between Locust Drive and Relyea Terrace in the Town of Wappinger until further notice.
