Troopers Arrest a Middletown Man for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance

The New York State Police at Montgomery report the arrest Sean C. Aquart, age 33, of Middletown, New York, for criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth degree.  At approximately 3:00 AM on Saturday, October 3, 2015, Troopers patrolling out of the SP Montgomery barracks stopped a 2010 Acura TL for a traffic violation on Robinson Avenue in the City of Newburgh.  Further investigation by the Troopers led them to discover that Aquart, a passenger in the vehicle, was in possession of MDMA and marijuana.  Aquart was charged with one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth degree, a felony and one count of unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.  Aquart was arraigned at the City of Newburgh Court where he was remanded to Orange County Jail pending his next scheduled court appearance on Monday October 5, 2015 at 8:30 AM.
