Visitor at Eastern Correctional Caught With Contraband

PRESS RELEASE

   On October 3rd, 2015, the members of the New York State Police, Troop F, at SP Ellenville, announce the arrest of a female for Promoting Prison Contraband in the Town of Wawarsing N.Y.
   Arrested was Cynthia S. Ulett-Holmes, age 53, of Brooklyn, New York who was charged with Promoting Prison Contraband 1st, a felony, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th, a misdemeanor.
   The New York State Police along with the New York State Department of Corrections conducted an investigation into possession of contraband by a visitor at the Eastern Correctional Facility located in Napanoch NY. Cynthia Ulett-Holmes was found in possession of a quantity of amphetamines which was contained within property being brought into the facility for her husband, an inmate at Eastern Correctional. Correction Officers found the contraband while inspecting the property to be turned over to the inmate.
   Cynthia Ulett-Holmes was arrested and processed at SP Ellenville. She was arraigned in the Town of Wawarsing Court before Town Justice Dechon who remanded Ulett to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $5,000.00 cash or $10,000.00 secured bond to reappear on October 9th, 2015.
