Newburgh woman arrested for promoting prison contraband

PRESS RELEASE

   The New York State Police along with the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision announce the arrest of SHANTANICE M. TALLIE 20 years old, of Newburgh NY for Promoting Prison Contraband in the second degree, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, both class A misdemeanors along with a violation of the Public Health Law for Possessing Synthetic Marihuana, also known as K-2.
   Investigation revealed that TALLIE entered the NYS DOCCS Greene Correctional Facility for a visit with an Inmate.  During the visit TALLIE, delivered contraband consisting of synthetic marihuana to the Inmate.  TALLIE possessed and delivered the contraband to the Inmate while she had a two year child present with her for the visit.
   TALLIE was processed at SP Coxsackie and arraigned before T/J Richard Roberg in the Town of Coxsackie Court  and was ROR’d to return at a later date.
   The New York State Police and the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision were assisted by the Greene County District Attorney’s office.
