Wappinger man arrested for drug possession following traffic stop

Wappinger, New York – On September 23, 2015, New York State Police from the Wappinger barracks arrested Michael L. Fragoso, 27 years old, of Wappinger, New York, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 2nd Degree, an unclassified Misdemeanor.
Troopers stopped the vehicle Fragoso was operating on Myers Corners Road for an equipment violation. Subsequent to an investigation conducted by police, Fragoso was found to possess heroin. He was also charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation for operating a motor vehicle despite having suspended driving privileges.
Fragoso was issued appearance tickets directing him to appear before the Town of Wappinger Court on October 15, 2015 at 5:30 p.m.
