Fatal Motor Vehicle Accident I-84

On 9/22/15, The New York State Police investigated a two car fatal motor vehicle accident which had occurred at approximately 2:39pm, in the eastbound lanes of I-84, in the Town of Fishkill.  The investigation revealed that a white Toyota Highlander, which was traveling westbound, crossed into the center grassy median and into the eastbound lanes of travel where it was struck by a tractor- trailer which was traveling eastbound. The driver of the tractor-trailer suffered minor injuries, was transported to a local hospital, treated and released.  The driver of the Toyota suffered internal injuries and was stat flighted to Westchester Medical Center where he remains in critical condition.  A passenger in the Toyota was pronounced deceased at the scene.
