Croton-on-Hudson man charged with DWI under Leandra’s Law

Greenburgh, New York – On August 29, 2015, New York State Police from the Hawthorne barracks arrested 31-year-old Jason VanEtten, of Croton-on-Hudson, New York, for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated under Leandra’s Law, a Felony.

While on patrol, Troopers observed a vehicle traveling on the Sprain Brook Parkway in excess of 80 miles per hour.  The offending vehicle was stopped and police interviewed the driver who identified himself as Jason VanEtten.   Following an investigation conducted by police, VanEtten was found to be intoxicated.

VanEtten was charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated under Leandra’s Law for driving while intoxicated with his 4-year-old son in the vehicle.

VanEtten provided a positive breath sample that revealed a Blood Alcohol Content of .09% and was issued traffic tickets ordering him to appear in the Town of Greenburgh Court on September 11, 2015.
