Beekman man arrested following Department of Labor investigation

PRESS RELEASE
Beekman, New York – On August 30, 2015, New York State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks arrested 32-year-old Jonathan D. Celian of Beekman, New York, for Grand Larceny 3rd Degree, a Class D Felony, Falsifying Business Records 1st Degree, a Class E Felony, and Offering a False Instrument for Filing 1st Degree, a Class E Felony.

Celian reported weekly to the New York State Department of Labor that he was unemployed when in fact he was gainfully employed. The weekly false certifications enabled Celian to collect over $8,500 in US Currency that he was not entitled between September of 2012 and February of 2014.

Celian is scheduled to appear before the City of Poughkeepsie Court on September 8, 2015.
