Bronx man arrested for drug possession following traffic stop

Mount Pleasant – On August 23, 2015, New York State Police from the Hawthorne barracks arrested Carlos Rosa Jr., 39 years old, of the Bronx, New York, for Criminal Possession of Marihuana 4th Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor.

Trooper Joseph Coppola observed a grey Toyota sedan traveling southbound on the Taconic State Parkway at a high rate of speed and perform an unsafe lane change. A traffic stop was initiated and Trooper Coppola interviewed the driver. Following an investigation conducted by the Trooper, a passenger in the vehicle, Rosa, was found to be in possession of approximately 99 grams of marihuana.

Rosa was issued an Appearance Ticket to appear before the Town of Mount Pleasant Court on September 10, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. and was released after posting $500 station bail.
