On August 31, 2015, New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from the Wappinger barracks arrested Siunelly Morales-Garcia, 21 years old, of Poughkeepsie, New York, for Falsifying Business Records in the 1st degree, a class E Felony, and Falsely Reporting an Incident in the 3rd degree, a class A Misdemeanor.

In May of 2015, Morales-Garcia falsely reported to her credit union and the State Police that her debit card was stolen. Morales-Garcia claimed that someone had made fraudulent transactions including depositing a counterfeit check and making an unauthorized withdrawal from her credit union account. An investigation revealed that Morales-Garcia had intentionally provided a third party with her debit-card and PIN #, and that she was complicit in the fraud.

Morales-Garcia is scheduled to appear at the Town of Pleasant Valley Justice Court on September 8, 2015, at 5:30 pm.
