PRESS RELEASE

On August 11, 2015 the New York State Police – Bureau of Criminal Investigation SP Kingston arrested KAYLA M. MURPHY age 27 of Ulster, NY for illegally obtaining over $9,000.00 in unemployment benefits.

The New York State Police working in conjunction with the New York State Department of Labor – Investigation Section arrested MURPHY for Grand Larceny 3rd Degree and Offering a False Instrument for Filing 1st Degree both felonies. During the time period of February 20, 2012 through September 30, 2012 MURPHY received $9,028.00 in unemployment benefits. It was later determined that MURPHY was in fact employed during the time period in which she was receiving the benefits.

MURPHY was arrested for the above listed charges and arraigned in the Town of Ulster Court where she was released to reappear at a future date.
