19-Year-old Mahopac man arrested for driving while intoxicated

Carmel, New York – On August 8, 2015, New York State Police from the East Fishkill barracks arrested Michael J. Carey Jr., 19 years old, of Mahopac, New York, for Driving While Intoxicated, a Misdemeanor.
Troopers fueling their patrol vehicle at the Mobil Gas Station on Route 6 observed a vehicle at the pumps for approximately 15 minutes. As the Trooper approached the car to conduct a welfare check on the vehicle, the driver exited the Volkswagen. Troopers interviewed the driver who identified himself as Carey and detected signs that indicated he was intoxicated.
Carey was issued traffic tickets ordering him to appear before the Town of Carmel Court on August 25, 2015.
